Synthetic Biology & Metabolic Engineering Lab

• Our lab applies metabolic engineering and synthetic biology to build high efficiency microbial cell factories. Using synthetic microbes, we valorize diverse carbon feedstocks into biofuels, bioplastics, specialty chemicals, and drug precursors. To enable this, we develop synthetic biology toolsets including genome editing, biosensors, dynamic control circuits, and high throughput screening.
