UNIST Scholarship (in 2017)
Selection criteria
  • Graduate students who are admitted as Government scholarship student or UNIST scholarship student.
  • Graduate students who are enrolled within 4 semesters for Master's Program, 6 semesters for Doctoral Program, 10 semesters for MS-Ph.D Program.
  • Students who received the academic warning or achieved fewer than 3 credits in the previous semester shall be excluded.
  • Students who have been placed under probation or stronger shall be excluded.
Scholarship Amount
  • Full tuition fees will be waived
  • After the course work period, only 1/5 of the regular tuition fees will be waived by the scholarship. So, students who did not complete the course work during the course work period will be required to pay extra tuition fees.

Students who benefits other scholarship shall be excluded according to the regulation.

Student Expenses (Monthly stipend in 2017)
Selection criteria

  • Students who received the academic warning or achieved fewer than 3 credits in the previous semester shall be excluded.
  • Students who have been placed under probation or stronger shall be excluded.
Amount of stipend (Including research grant)
  • Master's : 500,000 KRW per month
  • Doctoral : 700,000 KRW per month

Amount of the monthly stipend can be different according to the participating lab

Graduate students who receive student expenses should assist the research or education of the school as directed by their academic advisors according to the plans of the department of academic advisor.

TA Scholarship (in 2017)
Selection criteria
  • Selected by the standard of Teaching Assistant operating plan
Scholarship Amount
  • Head TA : Master's 300,000 KRW per month, Doctoral 500,000 KRW per month
  • R TA : Master's 200,000 KRW per month, Doctoral 300,000 KRW per month
  • TA : Master's 150,000 KRW per month, Doctoral 250,000 KRW per month
